INTRODUCING TAKEFLIGHT EDUCATORS
Training for private tutors

OUR STORY
Creating a Training Platform for Private Tutors
Since leaving the Ministry of Education (MOE) , Mr Hoo Weng Sang, the founder of TakeFlight have found it impossible to gain access to teacher's training and resources that was once available to him at the National Institute of Education (NIE). He tried to glean the latest updates on the school syllabus from MOE and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) websites. The information from the websites however, are not exhaustive and he has to depend on hearsay from both students and serving teachers to ensure his teaching is in accordance with the students' requirements.

Hence, after teaching in the private sector for 7 years. He would like to create a platform to share his experiences and practices that he has gathered as a full-time private tutor through workshops and this website. In other words, an external NIE for private tutors

VISION
Facilitate training and support for Private Tutors
TakeFlight Educators will be launching two initial workshops for private tutors and aspiring private tutors to participate.

In the future, as more private tutors and educators step forward to give training. We would be able to have more subject specific workshops for private tutors to attend.
